3 Under 250,000€

I would think that these would be snapped up under normal circumstances. These are not normal circumstances. There is a probably apocryphal curse, "May you live in interesting times." Mm-hm. See the end of this post for a reference on this.

These properties vary considerably, in style, functionality, and location. From the northern west coast of the Algarve to the Spanish border, from a potential homestead for two small families to a stylish retreat for a couple at most, what all of these places share is a price tag in the bottom 5% of the idealista listings. Let's take the most expensive one, #3, at 240,000. With a deposit of 50,000 and a 20 year mortgage fixed at 2%, the monthly is 1.020€. With utilities on top, that's likely under $2,000 CDN a month.

#1: On idealista, private owner sale. Algoz e Tunes, Silves. 180,000€, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 120 m² built/9,200 m² plot, 2 annexes, undeniable funky charm.
