I have been exploring the underwater world of film noir de mer for some time now, elaborating and enlarging the fantasies I had as a kid of snorkling or scuba diving through a drowned city with minimal damage except for encrustation by sealife, and also with crystal clear water. Although I had no idea what film noir was when I had those dreams, it's amusing to me now to overlay that genre on those fantasies.
