All of the abstract art applied here was created by manipulating photographs in a very extreme way. Aggressive filtering and image distortion is used to deconstruct, tear apart, and reconfigure. The designs are often treated by one particular filter, Mean Curvature Blur (MCB), at some point in the process, which shapes images in a smooth and organic way that I find very appealing. It also has the added advantage of tolerating enlargement very well without obvious artifacts. The downside is a soft focus that can be difficult to sharpen, but I can live with that for now.
